Moonwalkers make walking more fun and more efficient. Some people use them for recreation and fitness, some people use them to make their work more enjoyable and productive. Some people use them for both.

ShiftOS, our ever evolving software, reacts instantaneously to the way that you walk and adjusts power accordingly. If you walk very slowly, you will receive very little assistance from Moonwalkers. As you speed up, Moonwalkers will begin to deliver smooth power. To stop, simply walk slower or put both feet on ground and the shoes will come to a smooth stop.

Moonwalkers are agile and intuitive, so you can seamlessly move about crowds. They're also built to adapt to difference grades so you can walk up and down hills.

Moonwalkers are also engineered to withstand rain, puddles, dust and dirt and can be used on a variety of surfaces thanks to the rugged 8-wheel patented drivetrain.

220lbs is merely the max RECOMMENDED weight, above which the top speed and range may be slightly affected in some edge cases but will not impact the safety and integrity of the product.

We have, in fact, beta-tested Moonwalkers up to a a much higher weight limit.

Again, you can use Moonwalkers like everyone else if you are happy with slightly reduced performance in edge cases like reaching 90%+ of the top speed at the steepest hill.

Moonwalkers were designed in Pittsburgh, where there are a ton of crumbling rust-belt-style sidewalks. As a result we engineered an 8-wheel patented drivetrain, consisting of overlapping wheels to simulate much larger diameter wheels to climb over uneven terrain and gravel.
